The 27 interaction types mapped in Figure 3 and described in the interaction-types table can be understood in three broad functional families: propagation-generating, condition-shaping, and compounding, buffering, or weak-coupling types.

The 27 interaction types are specific subclasses within some of those orthogonal cells of the Cube.
